Classic Reissue and Model Overview

The Tamiya 18056 Mad Bull Junior returns as a faithful re-release from the Mini 4WD line, drawing on the look of its larger 1/10 scale R/C counterpart. This 1/32 scale kit captures the original profile and colourful graphics while using the Super TZ-X chassis to prioritise straight-line stability through an extended wheelbase and a streamlined undertray.

Super TZ-X Chassis Highlights

The Super TZ-X chassis balances speed and control with a flat underside that reduces air resistance and a wing-shaped side guard that helps stability at higher speeds. Builders can choose between the supplied 5:1 and 4:1 gear ratios to tune acceleration versus top speed depending on race conditions.

Body Styling and Assembly Notes

The Mad Bull Junior body is injection-moulded in black ABS and carries red-leaning decals reminiscent of the R/C original. Its vivid yellow wheels and black tyres make for a bold look, and the clip-fit assembly lets newcomers complete the model without glue. Included stickers add finishing detail, and you will only need a small Phillips screwdriver and plastic nippers to build the kit.

  • Scale: 1/32
  • Overall Length: 148mm
  • Body Material: ABS Plastic
  • Motor: 130 included
A longer wheelbase boosts straight-line stability and reduces twitchiness in high-speed sections, making the Mad Bull Junior easier to keep steady on fast straights.
Use the 5:1 ratio for quicker acceleration on tight tracks, while the 4:1 ratio favours higher top speed on longer, faster layouts. Try both to see which suits your track.
No glue is required. The Mad Bull Junior uses snap-together parts and supplied stickers, so basic modelling tools are enough to finish the build.
