The Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin arrived in 2015 and quickly found favor with riders who value a balance of on-road comfort and off-road capability. Its durable engineering and rally heritage make it a popular subject for scale model builders and collectors.
The Paris-Dakar legacy pushed manufacturers to craft machines that survive extreme conditions. Honda began serious Dakar involvement in the early 1980s, and lessons from their rally machines influenced the Africa Twin's rugged character and long-distance capability.
This 1/6 scale Tamiya model reproduces the CRF1000L with careful attention to proportion and detail. Finished dimensions are 390mm long, 158mm wide and 255mm tall, providing a substantial model that displays well on a shelf or in a glass case.
The kit includes realistic touches such as twin headlights, a detailed suspension layout and a drive-chain assembly. Metal components add strength where needed, and the finished model makes an excellent centrepiece for a motorcycle collection.
