The Honda Gorilla started life in 1978 as a compact leisure bike derived from the Monkey platform. Its 49cc air-cooled engine, four-speed manual gearbox and oversized fuel tank gave it a distinct presence. Production paused in 1992, then the model returned in 1998 with updated finishes and chrome accents that refreshed its appeal.
The Tamiya 1/6 scale kit faithfully captures the 1998 Gorilla profile. At 226mm long, 104mm wide and 183mm tall, the model recreates the larger headlamp, chrome-plated trim and a detailed engine layout. Functional front and rear suspensions and finely moulded components make the assembly process rewarding for hobbyists with some modelling experience.
This is more than a kit to assemble it is a display piece that celebrates a slice of motorcycle history. Chrome-plated parts reproduce the original shine, and decals provide options for both the regular and "Spring Collection" liveries. The finished model suits collectors and those seeking a standout display item.
