The Honda Monkey began as a cute attraction at Honda's Tama Tech park in 1961, noted for its small frame, red chassis and white fuel tank. For the year 2000 Honda released a special anniversary run limited to 3,000 bikes worldwide, and that celebratory model remains prized for its character and collectibility.

Scale Model Craftsmanship

Tamiya's 1/6 scale kit captures the 2000 Special with careful detailing. The assembled model measures 224mm long, 100mm wide and 175mm tall, and reproduces the 49cc SOHC engine in miniature.
