This Tamiya 1/12 Ducati Desmosedici kit captures the engineering and racing character of the original machine. The 1/12 scale assembly reproduces the 16-valve V4 engine and the signature truss-frame layout, while the swing arm detail reflects how it mounts to the crankcase. The kit includes realistic rubber tyres that match the look of racing slicks.
Originally campaigned in the 2003 MotoGP season, the Desmosedici made an impact with riders such as Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss. The 2004 updates sharpened its on-track form, with notable runs at circuits like Suzuka and Catalunya. Builders can choose parts to model either Capirossi's or Bayliss's bike, and authentic Cartograf decals are supplied for accurate markings.
The kit offers detailed routing for accelerator, clutch and brake lines using plastic tubing, giving a workshop-fresh look once finished. Removable side panels and the seat cowling allow a clear view of the convincing engine casting for display. Note that white sponsor markings are not included due to decal restrictions, though overall fidelity to the real bike is preserved.
