The Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa made its mark for top speed and striking styling, and this 1/12 scale kit from Tamiya captures that appeal for builders. The real Hayabusa, introduced in 1998, set new benchmarks in sportbike design, and this model offers a faithful, hands-on way to recreate the machine in miniature.
The Hayabusa earned the reputation of a high performance sportbike thanks to its roughly 175hp engine and streamlined bodywork, details echoed in the kit. The bike's distinctive rounded cowling and stacked twin headlights are represented to reflect the original silhouette, making the finished model a recognisable exhibit for display or shelf collections.
At 178mm long and 71mm wide, this 1/12 scale model keeps dimensional accuracy front and centre. The upper cowling and fuel tank are moulded together to simplify fitting while keeping a realistic profile. Key parts like the engine, cowling and swing arms fasten to the frame with screws for a sturdy build. The kit also includes rubber tyres to add authentic texture to the finished model.
