The Tamiya 14071 kit delivers a faithful 1/12 scale reproduction of the Repsol Honda NSR500 campaigned by Michael Doohan in 1998. Parts are engineered to reflect the bike's race geometry and mechanical detail for realistic assembly and display.
Notable is the precisely cast 2-stroke, 4-cylinder engine where the crankcase and airbox are produced as a single molded assembly, simplifying fit and alignment. The finished engine mounts to the frame with small screws to give a secure, accurate build.
Removable body cowls allow the model to be exhibited either complete or with the bodywork off to reveal internal detail. The kit includes waterslide decals for the Repsol livery and illustrated instructions to help builders achieve an authentic finish.
