The Honda CBR 1100XX Super Blackbird first appeared in 1996 and brought advanced motorcycle engineering to the sport-touring world. With about 165 horsepower and a top speed over 300 km/h, the original combined power with aerodynamic refinement developed in wind tunnel testing. The kit recreates the Super Blackbird's signature narrow front end, including the distinctive piggy-back combination headlights.
Tamiya's 1/12 rendition captures the bike's aerodynamic cowling and the dual-shaft balancer layout found in the real engine. The parts reflect sculpted air intakes and the bike's combined brake arrangement, giving model builders authentic visual cues to assemble with care.
This Tamiya model is built to sit well on display. Its faithful representation of the Super Blackbird makes it a notable addition to a motorcycle model shelf, whether grouped with other road bikes or used as a focal piece.
