The Yamaha RZV500R, first shown at the 1983 Tokyo Motor Show, is presented by Tamiya as a finely detailed 1/12 scale kit. The model faithfully reproduces the bike's sweeping fairing, fuel tank shape and single seat cowling, while the air-cooled 2-stroke V4 engine is modelled with visible carburetor and radiator detail to bring out the mechanical character.
To boost realism the kit supplies a metal coil spring for the rear link-type monocoque suspension together with vinyl tubing for ignition leads and radiator hoses. These parts make assembly engaging and rewarding for motorcycle model builders and collectors who enjoy precise, hands-on builds.
