The Honda CB1100R made a strong impression when it appeared at the 1981 Earls Court Motorcycle Show, celebrated for its race-inspired look and distinctive red and white livery. The road-going racer used a 1,062cc air-cooled 4-cylinder DOHC engine producing around 115hp and could reach about 220km/h in period tests.
Tamiya's 1/12 kit faithfully recreates the machine with finely moulded components and accurate styling. The Tamiya 14008 release includes coloured plastic parts that represent the frame, bodywork, engine and brakes, plus steerable front wheels and synthetic rubber tyres with lifelike tread. Waterslide decals are supplied for the authentic graphics.
