Tamiya 1/6 scale chain for authentic drive detail

For scale modelling fans who focus on motorcycles, the Tamiya 12674 1/6 Link Type Motorcycle Chain is a fine upgrade for your kit. Built to match the 1/6 scale Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin model, this part increases visual fidelity and adds realistic drive-line detail to your build.

Detailed construction for true-to-life links

The assembly-style chain is made from individual plastic plates paired with metal spacers, giving each link an accurate look. A supplied construction jig helps keep alignment consistent, making link-by-link assembly simpler and more precise.

Engineered to mate with the Africa Twin drive sprocket

Once put together, the chain is intended to sit correctly on the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin drive sprocket (Item 16042). That fit enhances authenticity and allows you to fine-tune chain tension using the adjustment parts included in the base model kit.

great to deal with and communication is very good !👍
Yes. Because the chain is built link by link, you can add or remove links during assembly to match your intended fit, but plan cuts and spacing carefully for a clean finish.
Standard modelling tools are sufficient. Use fine tweezers, a small pair of flush cutters, a hobby knife and the supplied jig to keep link alignment accurate as you work.
If you want a more realistic appearance, mask and paint the inner metal spacer areas or apply light weathering powders after assembly to simulate wear and grime.
