Recreate the 1977 Grand Prix Icon

The Tamiya 12044 - 1/12 Scale Wolf WR1 1977 model kit brings the famous Formula One racer to your workbench with accurate proportions and period detail. Originally penned by Harvey Postlethwaite for Walter Wolf Racing and driven to victory by Jody Scheckter, the WR1 is reproduced here with an emphasis on the compact, agile layout that defined its on-track performance.

Precision parts and moving suspension

This 1/12 scale kit measures 349mm long, 164mm wide and 79mm high, and recreates the car's mechanical character with coil springs for front and rear suspension and a working rack and pinion steering system. The reproduced DFV engine includes fuel lines and ignition leads to enhance the assembly experience.

Open panels to display internals

Removable front and cockpit fairings let you show the detailed internals after build. The kit supplies Cartograf decals matching the 1977 Japan GP livery, along with photo-etched parts and seatbelts to heighten interior realism, finished off with synthetic rubber tyres for an authentic appearance.
