The Tyrrell P34 is famous for its unusual six-wheel layout and remains one of Formula 1's most talked-about designs. Derek Gardner created the concept to reduce frontal area and aerodynamic drag by using four small front tires. It debuted at the 1976 Spanish Grand Prix and later delivered strong results, including notable finishes by Jody Scheckter and Patrick Depailler at the Swedish Grand Prix.
This 1/12 scale kit from Tamiya reproduces the P34 with careful attention to the original engineering. The suspension assembly mirrors the car's six-wheel configuration, while the engine block shows detailed tubing and ignition lines. Synthetic rubber tires add to the lifelike look and feel, and photo-etched pieces such as brake discs and radiator grilles increase model realism.
