The Tamiya 12033 Renault RE-20 Turbo kit captures the turbocharged era of Formula 1 in precise 1/12 scale. This model reflects the car that scored victories in the 1980 Brazilian, South African and Austrian Grands Prix and reproduces Renault's V-6, 1.5-liter twin-turbo engine rated at about 520 horsepower. Photo-etched parts are included to refine the radiator, intercooler, oil cooler and brake discs for an authentic finish.

The RE-20 Turbo is noted for its aerodynamic approach, with inverted rear wing profiles and side skirts developed to boost ground effects.
