The Serpent 903360 2-Speed Gearbox SL8 Upgrade Kit brings a lightweight, race-focused gearbox to Serpent 966 cars, engineered for smooth shifts and consistent track durability.

Low Inertia Design and Smooth Power Transfer

At the core is a superlight 2-speed unit that cuts rotating mass to improve acceleration while maintaining clean power delivery. Key elements include an 8mm solid spring-steel shaft with a one-way bearing running directly on it to reduce friction and increase support. The supplied aluminum bell is beefed up to cope with high load conditions, giving a stable and long-lasting assembly.

Quality Parts That Improve Reliability

• Aluminum Brake-Pulley Adaptor: Fitted with three steel pins and supplied with a new brake disk included in the kit.
• Delrin Bushings: 8x14x4mm bearings are seated in these bushings to stabilise the 2-speed mounting brackets.
• Spring-Steel Adaptor: A smaller, lighter adaptor that helps reduce overall gearbox weight and friction.
