Celebrating a Decade of Inferno MP9 Performance
For more than ten years the Kyosho Inferno range has set the pace in 1/8 scale nitro off-road racing. Backed by eight World Championship victories, the platform is a familiar choice for seasoned club and national competitors. The MP9, introduced in 2008, secured the 12th World Championship in Thailand in 2010. To honour that history, Kyosho has released the Inferno MP9 TKI4 10th Anniversary Edition complete with premium items and optional parts valued at over 30,000 Yen to make the car track-ready out of the box.
Track-Oriented Upgrades and Durability Improvements
This anniversary model keeps the proven TKI4 chassis while adding targeted enhancements. The front receiver battery location carried over from the TKI3 layout improves weight distribution and steering feel. Reinforced front suspension arms give better surface tracing and tighter cornering. Longer universal shafts and extended tie rods paired with beefed-up ball ends increase handling resilience on rough tracks.
The clear aerodynamic body is tuned to help cornering and traction, and the twin-finned wing improves stability on jumps. A Gurney flap boosts rear grip for varied track conditions. Practical components such as the air cleaner holder and fuel filter holder are included to reduce engine issues during hard running.
Dimensions, Kit Contents and Required Items
The kit measures 490mm in length, 307mm in width and 180mm in height, with 28mm ground clearance and an adjustable wheelbase for setup flexibility. Tires and engine are not included; the package includes the special clear body, wheels, logo decals and window masking seals. To finish the build you will need a 2-channel R/C system, a 21-class engine, muffler, manifold and common finishing accessories.
