The Kyosho Inferno GT line has been a go-to for 1/8 scale touring car fans, blending scale realism with track-focused design. The Inferno GT2 builds on that heritage with targeted changes that improve stability and handling for serious on-road use. It shares many DNA elements with the famed Inferno MP7.5 buggy chassis while offering a longer wheelbase for truer proportions and steadier cornering.
Power comes from the GXR28SG engine, chosen for its proven consistency and torque delivery. Combined with a carefully balanced chassis, the GT2 arrives ready to perform. It also includes dual disk brakes to resist fade, adjustable turnbuckle upper arms and tie rods for setup tweaks, plus blue anodized hubs and shock caps for a tidy factory finish.
The GT2 introduces meaningful refinements over the prior model. Wheelbase is extended by 35mm to improve high speed stability. A revised 2-speed gearbox raises potential top speed, while a larger 150cc fuel tank lengthens run sessions. The smaller 34mm flywheel sharpens throttle response and front and rear torque rods enhance balance through transitions.
This Kyosho Inferno GT2 is supplied as a Readyset, arriving factory-assembled with a pre-painted McLaren F1 GTR body and applied decals. The kit includes a PERFEX KT6 radio, a plug-type glow heater and a fuel bottle. Note that batteries for the transmitter and the heater are not included.
For experienced racers and scale collectors alike, the Kyosho Inferno GT2 delivers a mix of engine performance, chassis engineering, and Readyset convenience that rewards track time and setup work.
