1/35 Carro Armato L6/40 Replica for Scale Modellers

The Italeri 6553S model kit gives a faithful 1/35 scale recreation of the Carro Armato L6/40, the Italian light tank that entered production in 1938. The kit captures the slim silhouette and period details of a vehicle that served across theatres including Africa, Russia and Italy, despite its obsolescence by mid war.

Modellers will value the accurate detailing of the Breda 20mm cannon and references to the SPA 18D engine that powered the original to about 42 km/h. The parts are arranged for assembly and painting so enthusiasts can build a neat display piece that reflects WWII Italian armour characteristics.

  • Scale: 1/35
  • Material: Plastic
  • Assembly Required: Yes
  • Paint and Decals: Not Included
The L6/40 was deployed by Italian forces in several theatres during WWII, including North Africa, the Eastern Front and mainland Italy, often used for reconnaissance and infantry support.
Dry fit wheels and track sections before gluing, use a fine applicator for plastic cement, and consider tweezers to position tiny parts for clean joins and consistent alignment.
Traditional acrylic or enamel model paints suit the kit; use a primer first, then base colours and light weathering to bring out panel lines and rivet details. Decals are not supplied so plan markings ahead.
