The Italeri 1/12 scale Fiat Mefistofele 21706 C.C kit recreates one of the landmark land speed cars of the 1920s. Built to reflect the engineering of the era, this model captures the machine driven by Ernest Eldridge that set the 1924 record, offering a faithful representation for enthusiasts who enjoy detailed, period-correct builds.
In July 1924 the original Mefistofele reached 146.01 mph (over 230 km/h), establishing a new world land speed record. The full-size car used a massive aircraft-derived inline 6 engine with a displacement above 20,000 cm3. This kit mirrors those key features, showing the imposing engine layout and the streamlined high-back bodywork that were designed for top speed.
Composed of more than 500 parts, the kit is aimed at experienced modellers seeking a rewarding and intricate project. Key features include a working steering linkage and an opening bonnet that reveals the detailed engine. Finished, the model spans 45 cm in length and comes with decals, clear parts, screws and rigging to complete an authentic presentation.
