The Italeri 2701S 1/48 scale kit recreates the Henschel HS 126 A-1/B-1, capturing the high-wing silhouette, the large three-bladed propeller and the fixed undercarriage that defined this reconnaissance type. The parts layout and moulding aim to reflect the aircraft's distinctive structural lines.
First flown in 1937, the HS 126 used an 850hp Bramo 323 radial engine in service and was fitted for reconnaissance with two onboard cameras and forward-firing armament. It served in early WWII theatres and saw action with the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War despite being outpaced by faster designs.
This Italeri model provides a satisfying build for hobbyists who like historic aircraft. The kit parts allow close replication of cockpit and airframe details, making it a strong addition to a World War II recon aircraft collection.
