The Dassault Mirage III marked a turning point in postwar French jet design. Introduced in the early 1960s, it combined a slender delta wing with a Snecma Atar afterburning turbojet to reach high subsonic and supersonic speeds, earning a solid reputation for performance and simplicity.
This kit represents the Mirage IIIE variant, which featured a lengthened nose to house more advanced avionics. The E/R designation reflects the variations produced and exported to several air arms during the 1970s and 1980s.
The Italeri 1/32 model delivers an immersive build with newly engineered moulds that trace the aircrafts smooth contours. The set includes super decal sheets offering six different marking options, allowing builders to finish a historically faithful model or a personalised scheme.
Also supplied are a full colour instruction leaflet and a selection of photo-etched parts to lift fine surface detail. Note that assembly requires model cement and basic modelling tools, making this suitable for hobbyists comfortable with medium to advanced builds.
