Compact 1/144 ATR 42-500 Build Overview

The Italeri 1801S - 1/144 ATR 42-500 model kit recreates the well known regional turboprop that helped define short-haul routes. Originating in the mid 1980s, the ATR 42 earned a reputation for efficient twin turboprop performance and the ability to operate from short runways. This release represents the upgraded ATR-500 series from the 1990s, featuring improved engines and six-bladed propellers. A maritime patrol variant, the ATR 42 MP "Surveyor", is also noted for government and agency use.

This kit is produced from 100% new moulds and ships with a display stand. The included decal sheet covers three different liveries so builders can pick their preferred scheme. Well suited to display cabinets and shelf collections, the kit delivers a faithful small-scale representation of an important regional transport aircraft.
