The BMW R75 with sidecar remains one of the most recognised German military motorcycles from the Second World War. This Italeri 1/35 scale kit lets hobbyists assemble a historically faithful reproduction used by Wehrmacht units, capturing the bike's rugged utility in reconnaissance and transport roles.
During the early 1940s the German army increased its mobility by adopting purpose built and adapted vehicles. The BMW R75, alongside the Zundapp KS 750, was central to that shift, with about 16,500 examples built. Its robust layout enabled top speeds near 92 km/h and the sidecar often carried an MG 34 for added firepower.
The Italeri kit emphasises scale detail and ease of painting, making it a satisfying project for collectors. The 1/35 proportions allow crisp assembly and fine detailing, resulting in a realistic display model once painted and finished.
