Late in World War II designers experimented with innovative attack concepts that reduced risk to aircrew while increasing stand-off accuracy. The Mistel pairing combined a modified Ju 88 bomber loaded for impact with a Bf 109 fighter mounted above it, allowing the fighter pilot to guide the bomber to its target before separation. This Italeri 1/72 scale kit captures that unusual engineering arrangement and gives modellers a chance to study the build and display possibilities of the configuration.
