Noise Control and Drive Characteristics

The GPM SCX1660TS belt drive lowers gearbox noise and reduces shaft feedback compared to metal gear systems. Keep in mind that belt drives typically deliver less peak torque than direct gear drives. Check your motor shaft diameter for compatibility; a 3.175mm shaft is required for the correct fit.

Fitting and Tensioning Steps

Start by seating the original gearbox metal plate in its location. Choose the correct friction plate and place it into the pulley groove, then press the bearing into the center. Replace the original metal plate, add the anti-skid spring and secure with the nut. Bring the two gears close enough to slip the belt over, then set the gear spacing to obtain consistent belt tension.
