Will this pinion fit standard 1/10 motor shafts?

The HUDY 294131 uses common fine internal threading that fits most 1/10 motor pinion shafts when the shaft and retaining hardware match the gear specifications. Double check your motor thread size before fitting.

How should I maintain the hard coated surface?

Clean the gear after dusty runs and inspect teeth for nicks. The hard coat boosts wear resistance but routine checks and light lubrication on mating gears will extend service life.

Is the 31T ideal for track acceleration or top speed?

A 31T pinion is a compromise between acceleration and top speed depending on your spur gear. Use it with your normal spur to fine tune acceleration without substantially increasing top end gearing.
