Detailed 1/48 T-34/85 Scale Replica

The T-34/85 represents a key upgrade of the original T-34, arriving with heavier armament and improved protection in 1944. This 1/48 scale kit by Hobby Boss faithfully models the 1944 configuration, giving military scale builders an opportunity to recreate the flatter turret profile and wartime silhouette. While it lacked some of the advanced features of German tanks like the Panther or Tiger, the T-34/85 made a huge impact through pragmatic design and numbers on the battlefield.

What parts come in the box

The kit contains injection-moulded sprues with all hull, turret and track components required to build the 1/48 T-34/85 model. Note that paint, glue and tools are not supplied.

How difficult is assembly for hobbyists

Assembly has fine detail and some small parts, so it is best suited to modelers with basic kit experience. Patience with subassemblies and cleanup will improve the finished result.

What paint and finishing tips work well

Use enamel or acrylic model paints designed for plastics and thin in light coats. Pre-shade panel lines and apply washes to bring out rivet and panel detail for an authentic scaled look.
