The Soviet BA-3 armoured car, introduced in 1933, is a notable example of interwar armoured engineering. Built originally on a Ford-Timken chassis and later adapted to the GAZ-AAA layout, the BA-3 paired heavy plating with optional auxiliary tracks that allowed it to tackle rough terrain despite limited road speed.
Hobby Boss delivers a finely detailed 1/35 kit of the BA-3 with more than 290 components, a multi-slide moulded hull and a three-piece turret that demand careful assembly. The supplied photo-etched items enhance surface realism and reward builders with patience and steady hands.
When finished, the model measures about 140.8mm long and 59.5mm wide, and the rubber tyres and crisp moulding make it a strong display subject. It sits well alongside other Soviet armoured vehicles and offers scope for realistic weathering and diorama work.
