The M4 High Speed Tractor was produced by Allis-Chalmers between 1943 and 1945 as a prime mover for the 90mm anti-aircraft gun and the 3-inch gun. This Hobby Boss kit recreates that vehicle at 1/72 scale and gives modellers a chance to build a compact example of wartime engineering.

Role in the Second World War and Modeller Interest

Replacing older crawler tractors, the M4 carried crew and ammunition and supported mechanised artillery formations. With more than 5,500 units made, it was a common sight in logistics operations and is a useful subject for historical displays and dioramas.
