The Hobby Boss 82487 1/35 scale representation of the PLA PLL05 120mm self-propelled mortar-howitzer delivers a faithful miniature of this contemporary artillery vehicle. Crafted for accuracy, the kit reflects the hybrid mortar-and-howitzer layout of the PLL05 and its distinct wheeled silhouette based on the ZSL-92 6x6 chassis.
The PLL05 combines high-angle indirect fire with extended-range shell trajectories, making it a flexible artillery asset. The real vehicle also offers mobility advantages, capable of road speeds up to 85 km/h and amphibious operation via rear propellers for water crossings.
This assembly contains more than 270 parts, aimed at experienced builders who enjoy detailed construction. The kit uses multi-directional slide molds for the lower hull, upper hull and turret to capture fine shapes, and includes photo-etched parts for delicate detailing. The crew access hatch can be modelled open or closed to vary the finished display.
