The Toyota 2000GT stands out as a 1960s design icon, famed for its balanced lines and engineering focus. This 1/24 scale kit from Hasegawa gives model builders a faithful way to recreate that era, offering a satisfying assembly that highlights the coupe's classic silhouette.
First shown at the 12th Tokyo Motor Show in 1968, the 2000GT combined elegant styling with advanced engineering for its time. Developed alongside Yamaha, it was notable as Toyota's first passenger car to use a twin overhead camshaft layout, and it earned recognition through prototype racing and endurance events.
This Hasegawa kit represents the early 1967 type, with body parts molded in white and a separate black chassis. Silver-plated components and wheels are included to enhance realism. Note that engine components are not supplied, so the build focuses on exterior accuracy and presentation.
