The 1993 Castrol Honda Civic that contested the British Saloon Car Championship is remembered for punching above its weight. Using a VTEC engine and a lightweight layout, the Civic achieved notable pace against stronger rivals. At 19 years old James Thompson drove the No.76 car to seven wins and nine pole positions during the season.
Thompson also contested the Civic Challenge Cup at Suzuka where he finished ninth, showing the car's competitive versatility. This Hasegawa model reproduces that era, giving modellers a clear link to the on-track machine and its race heritage.
This Hasegawa kit is a limited edition 1/24 scale plastic model with a white body shell and grey chassis. The set includes clear window parts, grey wheels and rubber tires. Stickers are supplied to recreate the race livery of James Thompson's No.76 car, making the build satisfying for hobbyists who enjoy accurate detailing.
