The HMS Ark Royal earned a notable place in World War II naval operations. Commissioned in November 1938, she introduced advanced carrier design ideas for her era, including a two-stage flight deck that helped shape carrier tactics.
In May 1941 aircraft from Ark Royal were central to the hunt for the German battleship Bismarck, and the carrier's role in that campaign is a defining moment of the war at sea. This 1/700 scale kit by Aoshima captures the ship's profile and historical presence for display and study.
This model is aimed at builders who enjoy precise assembly and display. Parts are finely molded to reflect deck fittings and hull lines, letting experienced modelers create an accurate small-scale representation of the Ark Royal.
