Yokomo Y2-RMC04RA Red Mount for Improved Cooling

The Yokomo Y2-RMC04RA red motor mount is engineered to improve thermal control for YD-2R series RC cars. Constructed from aluminum, it incorporates a heatsink-style profile to draw heat away from rear-mounted motors where airflow can be restricted during track sessions.

Enhanced Heat Flow from Finned Design

Compared with standard mounts, this unit adds multiple heat dissipation fins to expand surface area and aid cooling. That extra surface contact helps keep motor temperatures in check during long runs, especially in rear motor layouts.

Seven-Step Motor Height Adjustment

The mount offers seven fixed gearbox positions so you can fine tune motor height around the top shaft axis. Additional lower mounting holes extend the adjustment range beyond the stock 6-stage YD-2R setup, making it easier to dial in belt tension and handling balance.

Suitable Models

  • DP-YD2RAR
  • DP-YD2RSAR
  • DP-YD2RXR
  • DP-YD2RXTR
  • DP-YD2RPLS
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The fins increase surface area and aluminium helps disperse heat faster than stock mounts, so you should see lower peak temperatures under similar loads. Exact results depend on motor and ambient conditions.
Yes, it is made for the YD-2R family and suits the DP-YD2RAR, DP-YD2RSAR, DP-YD2RXR, DP-YD2RXTR and DP-YD2RPLS variants listed in the compatibility section.
Installation typically uses the same mounting hardware, but check motor shaft alignment and belt clearance. Some setups benefit from light shimming when changing motor height positions.
