These Tamiya 95636 HG Heavy Aluminum Wheels are precision machined aluminium components made to upgrade Mini 4WD handling. Compared to stock resin rims, the machined construction shifts mass lower, helping to reduce roll and deliver steadier runs on high-speed straights and through sweeping corners.
The wheels fit Mini 4WD and Mini 4WD PRO chassis that accept large-diameter, narrow tyres. They pair well with tyre items such as 15368 (Large Dia. Narrow Lightweight Wheels with Arched Tires) and 15388 (Narrow Reston Sponge Tires). Included polypropylene bushings allow smooth rotation when mounted on standard axles.
At around 14 grams per pair, these heavy aluminium wheels add ballast that can be used on either the front or rear to tune weight distribution. Racers use them to stabilise high-speed runs and improve cornering balance without changing suspension or gearing.
Each set ships with four white PP bushings for secure fitment. If you need replacements, Item 10306 (Mini 4WD Bushing for Aluminum Wheels) is recommended. Note that some bodies may need minor trimming to clear the larger diameter wheel.
