Product snapshot for Tamiya 95527 low-profile tire and gold Y-spoke wheel

The Tamiya 95527 Lo-Pro Tire & Gold Plated Wheel Y Spoke kit brings a refined look and practical upgrade to Mini 4WD builds. The gold-plated Y-spoke wheels pair with low-profile tires to deliver a cleaner profile and the white pad-printed sidewall text "MINI 4WD SPORTS TAMIYA RACING" preserves classic race styling.

Fitment and applications

This wheel and tire combo fits Mini 4WD and Mini 4WD PRO platforms. Many models accept the set without change, though some chassis or body trimming may be needed to achieve ideal clearance. It suits builders who like to tweak clearance and aerodynamics for specific tracks.

Track performance and tuning notes

Low-profile tires help lower ride height and can improve lateral stability during cornering, which may benefit race lap consistency. The gold-plated wheels add a premium finish and can contribute to weight savings versus heavier wheel types, helping with acceleration and responsiveness on the circuit.

I have ordered multiple times with RCJAZ and never had issues. The first time I did had ordering issue was a missing item from my order but they were quick to respond and ship the item. I will be ordering more for sure with them
They are designed for Mini 4WD and Mini 4WD PRO cars, and many stock setups will accept them. Expect to check clearance around body mounts and wheel wells and make minor trims if needed.
Low-profile tyres lower the centre of gravity and often improve cornering stability, but they may provide a firmer ride and different feedback compared with taller tyres. Test set-up changes to find the best balance.
The gold plating gives an attractive finish and is suitable for display and racing. As with any plated wheel, avoid harsh impacts and clean them gently to maintain appearance.
Check axle alignment and bearing fit, confirm tyre seating, and test on a practice lap to adjust ride height and weight distribution. Small spacer changes can help avoid rubbing.
