This limited release celebrates the Japan Cup 2025 with an exclusive paint scheme and metallic sticker set. The Tamiya VZ chassis gives the Jr Cross Spear 01 a compact, lightweight footprint that appeals to both display collectors and Mini 4WD racers.

VZ chassis build and tuning points

The VZ platform is built for toughness and adaptability with reinforced areas such as the bumper and rear stay base to handle racing stresses. Low friction 620 plastic bearings molded in POM improve drivetrain efficiency, while the main chassis is molded in blue ABS for solid construction. The drive uses a fixed 3.5:1 gear ratio, leaving room for tuning and setup choices.

Body styling and wheel setup

Body and truss components are molded in white ABS for a clean look. The model runs fluorescent orange polypropylene 5-spoke wheels fitted with black super-hard small diameter low-profile tyres. The tyre sidewalls carry the Japan Cup 2025 logo in white for an authentic event touch.

Kit assembly and track compatibility

The kit ships with a Type 130 motor installed, but requires two AA batteries which are not included. With dimensions of 158mm long, 98mm wide and 35mm high, the model fits standard Mini 4WD circuits and offers both display appeal and competitive potential.
